When are newborn photos taken?

The best time to take newborn photos is typically when the baby is between 5-21 days old. This timeline can sometimes be ignored if the baby was born prematurely or had other complicating factors.

 

Do I need to bring my own props, blankets, etc?

Nope! I've got a huge supply of wraps, headbands, hats, outfits, and props for your newborn. That being said, you're welcome to bring an outfit, prop, etc that you'd like to use. While I can't guarantee that we'll always be able to use what you bring, I'll do my best to incorporate things that are especially meaningful to you.


How do I chose between an In-Home or Studio Session?
There are many factors to take into consideration when choosing between in-home and studio. In-home sessions often appeal to families who already have a few young children, like more candid and casual photos, have mobility restrictions, and/or have a home with lots of natural light in the morning. Studio sessions often appeal to people who want a session and photos that are more "polished", want to take advantage of all my props, outfits, and set-ups, and/or don't love the idea of having people in their home. :)


What time do newborn sessions start??
I typically start newborn sessions between 8:00-9:00am. For in-home and half studio sessions, we can start as late as 10:00am.


How long will it take to receive my photos?
I'll send a viewing gallery within 1 week of your session. Once you've chosen and purchased your images, I'll finalize the edits and deliver your finished gallery within another week. So a total of 2 weeks, if you're fast at choosing. :)

Can I also order prints, wall art, or albums from my session?

Absolutely! Nothing makes me happier than seeing my clients print their photos. Once you've chosen your digital package, I'll give you access to my professional printing lab.
