How does a Photo Day benefit the center?
There are many benefits to having a Genesis Photography Photo Day at your center:
Delight your families with a seamless and modern way for them to get professional and natural photos of their children.
Complimentary staff headshots are provided during Photo Day.
One complimentary 8x10 print of each class photo is provided to the center.
We offer referral bonuses for referring us to other centers in Nebraska.

What areas of Nebraska do you travel to?
The yellow areas on the map below show the spots in Nebraska that we travel to. If a center lies beyond this area, we may still be able to come with a travel fee.
Do you photograph all the kids at the center?
No, we only photograph children whose parents have pre-registered online for Photo Day and given us permission to take individual photos of their child. The only exception is if we take a traditional class photo for preschools. (See class photo question below for details.)

Does the center need to handle any cash or take orders from families?
Nope! We handle all the orders and take payment online.

Do parents need to pay for their photos before Photo Day?
Nope! While all parents do need to pre-register their children, they will only make a payment once they are able to view and select their child's photos.

How are the parents notified about picture day?
We will provide you with poster, flyers, and digital information to use to notify parents. Centers often put the flyers in the child's take-home material and hang the posters in the entryway.

Where are the photos taken?
We take the photos outdoors at your location. We will walk around the property on (or before) Photo Day and let you know our location recommendations.
If there are siblings at the center, will you take any photos of them together?
Yes! If the parents have pre-registered both siblings, we will take a few photos of them together during the time that the youngest sibling is being photographed.

Can you also take traditional "yearbook-style" photos?
Yes, we do have a traditional backdrop for that yearbook-style look, and we're happy to add that photo to the outdoor photos that we take of each child.

Do you take class photos?
For preschool classes, we offer the option of a traditional class photo or a composite class photo. For daycares, we offer composite class photos. The traditional photo is where all students are standing/sitting together in one image. The composite photo is a compilation of the best portrait from each child whose parents registered for photos. You can see examples below.
How long does it take to get the photos back?
We'll send out viewing galleries to parents within 7 days of the center's last Photo Day. Parents will have 3 weeks to make their selections and order their photos online. Any products ordered in the first 10 days will be delivered to the center for free.

What happens if a child is sick or absent during Photo Day?
If we're scheduled to shoot for multiple days, and the child is able to get their photos on an alternate day, then we'll make up the session then. If they're not able to come to any of the photo days, then we won't be able to photograph them.

What about inclement weather?
We try our best to avoid rescheduling, since Photo Day is such a coordinated operation. In the event of rain, we may elect to use covered outdoor spaces, shoot in naturally-lit indoor areas, or delay the photos until later in the day. In the event of temperatures below freezing, we may elect to delay the start of photos until it warms up. If none of these options are available, we may need to set a new Photo Day.
