Do you photograph all the kids at the center?
No, we only photograph children whose parents have pre-registered online and given us permission to take individual photos of their child. The only exception is if we take a traditional class photo for preschools. (See class photo question below for details.)
Do we need to pay for our child's photos ahead of time?
Nope! While all parents do need to pre-register their children, you will only make a payment once you're able to view and select your child's photos in your online viewing gallery.
Where are the photos taken?
We take the photos outdoors at your center's location.
Do you take class photos?
For preschool classes, we offer the centers the option of a traditional class photo or a composite class photo. For daycares, we offer composite class photos. The traditional photo is where all students are standing/sitting together in one image. The composite photo is a compilation of the best portrait from each child whose parents registered for photos. You can see examples below.
What should my child wear?
In short, we recommend comfortable clothing that isn't wrinkled or neon-colored and doesn't have any large text, busy patterns, or cartoon characters on it. If you'd like more detailed recommendations, find our blog article here.
How long does it take to get the photos back?
We'll send out viewing galleries within 7 days of your center's last Photo Day. You'll have 3 weeks to make your selections and order your photos online, and if you order in the first 10 days, all printed products will be delivered for free to your child's center. Digital images will be available immediately after purchase. Printed photos will be delivered to your center within 2 weeks of the order deadline.
What if my child doesn't cooperate for photos?
As we all know, kids don't always behave the way you want them to. :) Of course we can't guarantee cooperation, but we do our best to have a positive interaction with all children and may try to bring the child back later in the Photo Day if they're tired, cranky, etc.
What if my child is sick or absent for their Photo Day?
If we're scheduled to shoot at your center for multiple days, and your child is able to get their photos on an alternate day, then we'll make up the session then. If they're not able to come to any of the photo days, then we won't be able to photograph them.
If I have multiple children at the center, will you take any photos of them together?
Yes! As long as you've pre-registered the siblings, we'll take a few photos of them together during the time that the youngest sibling is being photographed.
What about inclement weather?
We try our best to avoid rescheduling, since Photo Day is such a coordinated operation. In the event of rain, we may elect to use covered outdoor spaces, shoot in naturally-lit indoor areas, or delay the photos until later in the day. In the event of temperatures below freezing, we may elect to delay the start of photos until it warms up. If none of these options are available, we may need to set a new Photo Day.
